Since the launch of the fourth campaign, new Dungeon Master Brennan Mulligan has maintained audience suspense with extensive world-building, a colorful mix of heroes, and a thrilling plot featuring angels, fiends, and malevolent powers increasing in strength within Dol-Makjar.
Heads-up: Revealing details for Episode 3 of Campaign 4 are included.
The Warrior Group Revealed
The third episode ended with a huge suspense moment and introduced the premier party of characters who will split off from the central cast to undertake their independent quest, separate from the other two tables.
The Soldiers table includes Teor Pridesire (portrayed by Travis Willingham), the nimble rogue (Laura Bailey), the strong-willed figure (Whitney Moore), Wicander (Sam), and the mysterious adventurer (Robbie Daymond).
Dividing the Cast
Considering a large ensemble, it was obvious from the outset that maintaining everyone at one table would be unfeasible.
Hence, the initial installments of this story serve as an Prelude, weaving together the personal journeys before dividing into three smaller tables: Soldiers, Schemers, and Questers.
What Defines the Warrior Group
Per the Dungeon Master, the combat-focused party is for adventurers who are drawn to a traditionally charged fight-heavy narrative style where peaceful solutions are rare.
At first glance, figures such as the squeamish cleric the cleric might seem mismatched, but the actions of the latest installment make it clear why these five characters are best suited for the Soldiers table.
Motivations for Departure
For one thing, the group understands precisely where to proceed after a intense initial meeting with The Crow Keepers.
Casimir of Thjazi Fang—whose demise kicked off the story’s plot—exploited The Crow Keepers for his selfish purposes, invading the secret base, assaulting Thimble, and stealing all the enchanted items to sell off.
The antagonist then settled his obligations and escaped to a Halovar stronghouse in the northern region, beyond Dol-Makjar, with Teor’s brother hot on his heels.
Individual Reasons
Moreover, each member has a specific drive to depart Dol-Makjar:
- The rogue, as the close ally and best friend, desires retribution.
- The adventurer has experience in the region and warns that it is a hostile environment.
- Tyranny and The healer, having resisted his house’s orders to eliminate the fighter and instead saved him, have nowhere else to go.
- But, their status as key figures in House Halovar could help the group enter locations they usually can’t.
- Additionally, The fighter swore a unbreakable promise to The savior for his rescue and will now accompany him anywhere.
Wanted and Hunted
Finally, all of them are wanted by the powers that govern Dol-Makjar for a multiple motives, making remaining behind dangerous:
- Thimble and Kattigan are notorious outlaws.
- The warrior and Wicander turned against the powerful family and the army of fiends they are aligned with.
- Teor is wanted dead by the clan.
This results in them no alternative but to head to Timmony in quest for Casimir.
Upcoming Developments
From the latest episode’s post-show segment, we learn that the combat party will not appear in the upcoming installment, leaving the other eight participants to round up the Questers and Schemers tables.
